The office is in the Platinum Towers gallery at ul. Grzybowska 61 in Wola, on the border with Śródmieście. Take the M2 metro to Rondo Daszyńskiego; the office is a few steps from the station, next to the Warsaw Spire, Mennica Legacy Tower and Generation Park towers. For a larger amount, call +48 791 901 979 first and we will have the cash ready.

Is the exchange office open on Sunday?

Yes. We are open on Sunday from 11:00 to 20:00, on Saturday from 10:00 to 20:00 and Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 21:00. If you plan to exchange a larger amount or unusual denominations, call a day ahead and we will set the cash aside for the agreed hour.

How much does the euro cost today in a Warsaw exchange office?

Today, according to the table above (updated 6 September, 14:19), you can buy 1 euro from us for 4.33 PLN, so 100 euro costs 433.00 PLN. If you sell euro, you get 4.305 PLN per euro. The rate does not depend on the amount and there is no commission. We refresh the table every 30 minutes, so check it right before you leave.

Does the rate from the website apply at the counter?

Yes, but ask for it. The online rate is better than the board rate in the office and we do not apply it automatically, so tell the cashier you want the website rate. Do I need an ID to exchange currency?

Not for everyday exchange. We ask for an identity document only when a transaction is worth the equivalent of 15,000 euro or more, as anti money laundering rules require. Below that you exchange without paperwork and get the cash on the spot. We are entered in the NBP register of bureau de change activity, so every transaction is fully legal.

Does Argentarii buy gold and coins?

Gold buying in Warsaw

We buy gold jewellery, including damaged and incomplete pieces, jewellery scrap of any fineness from 333 to 999, gold bars and bullion coins. We test the fineness on the spot, in front of you, and calculate the rate from the gold price published by NBP, adjusted by our margin. There is no commission, and the rate per gram rises for lots above 50 g and 200 g.

Gold bars for sale in Warsaw

We sell gold bars from 1 to 100 g made by LBMA accredited producers, in a blister pack with a certificate, as well as gold bullion coins. Investment gold is exempt from VAT under Article 122 of the Polish VAT Act, so you pay the price of the metal plus our margin, with no 23% tax.

Gold coin buying in Warsaw

We buy gold bullion coins: Krugerrands, Britannias, Maple Leafs, Vienna Philharmonics, Australian Kangaroos and NBP coins of 100, 200 and 500 zł, as well as historic coins: Austrian ducats dated 1915, sovereigns, 20 francs, tsarist roubles and American 20 dollar coins. A one ounce coin contains 31.1 g of pure gold whatever its fineness, which is why a Krugerrand and a Britannia are valued similarly. We value bullion coins by the NBP gold price and the weight of metal, and numismatic coins separately, with a collector premium for mintage and condition. A missing capsule does not lower the valuation of a bullion coin; we confirm authenticity with an XRF test and weighing.
