History of money

Where the coins and banknotes we pay with came from. Ducats struck since the Middle Ages, pre-war Polish issues, notes withdrawn from circulation, and money that is now often just an entry in an account. Some of these coins still reach our buying desk, others stayed in collectors cabinets. We write about both.
